OUR MISSION: EDIFY, EQUIP, EXALT
Our Story
It began as a Word from God to Pastor Jason that he would pastor a church and the name of the church would be called House of Prayer. That Word from God, became a vision and the vision quickly became a burden and on February 5, 2006 that burden became a church. HOP began as a house church, similar to the churches in the book of Acts. We gathered in the living room of Pastor Jason and Lisa Upton for the first two months and then began to rent a room at Linda’s Dance Studio for the next 5 years as God grew the church. It was an exciting time of growth and hard work as we had to set up and tear down each time we had church at the Dance Studio. In the summer of 2010 God prompted Pastor Jason to look for ground to purchase to build a building for HOP. We found 4 acres of ground right up the road from where we were holding service. Through the blessings of God we were able to purchase the ground, pay off the existing amount owed and then secure a loan and build our current building. October of 2012 we held our first church service in our new church building. From the time that we moved into our new building in 2012 God has continued to add to the church on a regular basis. We are excited about the future God has in store for our assembly and we eagerly look forward to the next phase of growth and building that God is going to bring.
